In direct response to combat COVID-19 Northern Jet Management is taking all the necessary safety precautions to keep you safe and healthy.
Simplified boarding process
Our passengers have the option to bypass the lobby and drive directly to the aircraft at Northern Jet facilities. Hand sanitizer is available plane side at our Grand Rapids, Michigan and Naples, FL facilities and is available in-flight by our flight crew.
To ensure clean and safe aircraft, Northern Jet Management uses a manufacturer and EPA-approved disinfectant that is proven effective at killing the coronavirus. Our flight crew clean and disinfect the entirety of the cabin and cockpit after each flight to maintain a sterile aircraft for our customers and crews. Once the trip is complete, our aircraft undergo deep cleaning and disinfecting by our professional aircraft detail team.
We have teamed up with Fireside Partners, our emergency response service provider, and instituted practical procedures for flight crew should a passenger become ill in flight. The procedures are designed to protect our passengers and employees with the latest and best practices.
Taking care of our team
Northern Jet has applied the resources necessary to reduce our team’s exposure and minimize contact with potential risks involved. We have implemented a travel strategy that reduces flight crew repositioning on scheduled airlines.
Most all our office staff telework and stay connected through daily team video conferencing. Those few that must work in the office complete additional cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day and maintain social distancing.
Northern Jet only uses hotels that follow the strict CDC guidance to ensure safe accommodations for our crews.
Passenger and Team Safety Checks
Our flight crews are paired together to minimize exposure across the entire pilot cadre and control the spread should a crew member become exposed to the virus. Crews self-evaluate their health continuously and are isolated for 14 days for any suspected infection or exposure.
Passengers should expect social distancing practices from our team but we will always greet you with a warm smile and welcome aboard!
